May we use the Emmaus Logo in a printed piece?

Remember that the logo is copyrighted and should not be used on products designed for resale. Your community board members can download a variety of logo art formats from The Walk to Emmaus Boardroom site (your board members should already have received their username and password from the International Walk to Emmaus Office).

Please be sure to follow the guidelines for use of the logo. The new logo is presented in the Boardroom and may be used in four color, one color, and black and white formats. We prefer that you use the logo in four color. The logo colors, elements, and proportions should only be used as presented here. The words should always be used with the art; the trademark (TM) and registration mark (®) should always be included. The minimum size for the presentation of the art is 1 1/2" wide.

Recommended Uses: The Walk to Emmaus logo is the single graphic symbol of the Walk to Emmaus program. Use it on all printed matter that is distributed within and beyond the community. Also use it on all Walk-related materials.

May we use the "What Is Emmaus?" material from the web page?

The "What Is Emmaus?" material is taken from the booklet What is Emmaus? Since this is copyrighted material, it is not appropriate for you to copy it or reprint it without written permission from The Upper Room (Permissions, Upper Room Books®, P.O. Box 340004, Nashville, TN 37203-0004). We sell the booklet for $3.00 (10 or more is $2.55 each copy). You can order online in the Online Bookstore or by phone from Customer Administration, 1-800-972-0433. Ask for #881, the What is Emmaus? booklet. Many churches are now ordering this booklet and putting them in their library.

If you are wanting to use the material on your web site, consider adding a link to the page on which the material is printed: http://www.upperroom.org/emmaus/whatis/
